Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the development of the Bachelors of Science Nursing degree
- Ensure program compliance with VA Board of Nursing regulations and accreditation standards
- Lead the development, submission, and management of accreditation self-study materials and regulatory reports
- Prepare and submit accreditation and compliance reporting with accuracy and timeliness
- Lead curriculum development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement aligned with nursing accreditation requirements
- Supervise, mentor, and support Adjunct BSN Faculty, cultivating a collaborative, inclusive, and student-centered learning culture
- Manage departmental budgets, scheduling, and allocation of program resources
- Coordinate recruitment, admissions, retention, and program growth initiatives with university partners
- Secure adequate adjunct faculty and clinical learning sites to support student placement and instructional needs
- Teach assigned courses in the Post‑Licensure BSN Curriculum
- Represent the department on university-wide committees and academic initiatives
- Evaluate and recommend new equipment, instructional resources, and evidence-based teaching strategies to enhance student learning
- Perform additional duties as assigned by academic administration
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Nursing
- Minimum three (3) calendar years of full-time equivalent clinical experience as an RN
- Hold an unencumbered Registered Nurse license or multistate licensure privilege in Virginia
- Advanced knowledge of nursing curriculum design, curriculum mapping, program structure, and nursing accreditation standards and compliance processes
- Experience supporting nursing program regulatory compliance, policy enforcement, and clinical student evaluation required
- Classroom teaching experience at the Registered Nurse level and supervision of students in clinical training strongly preferred

- Strong technology proficiency, including personal computers and office software platforms
- Ability to handle confidential academic and student information with strict discretion
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in outcomes-based nursing practice and healthcare theory
- Demonstrated dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion in both leadership and teaching practice
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative, effective relationships with students, faculty, staff, and healthcare partners

Clinical Teaching Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clinical partners on rotation planning, agency coordination, and student clinical assignments
- Conduct clinical site orientation at assigned healthcare facilities
- Provide direct student supervision and guided clinical instruction using the nursing process
- Evaluate clinical performance at the end of each rotation, documenting student strengths and areas for growth
- Monitor student clinical attendance
- Maintain effective, professional working relationships with clinical agency personnel, preceptors, and healthcare staff
